…my apologies in advance. Because I’m gonna get into it.

But to be fair, the OP started it with a teeny bit of genocide denial.

This is obviously a subject for another thread. And if you want to start it, I’ll join you.

But this is bullshit. It’s a fiction constructed to make people feel better about themselves. But Biden was every bit in lock-step with what was happening in Gaza. I think we would be in exactly the same place as we are now if Harris had won. The only difference would be it wouldn’t be in the news. I made that case back here while the Democrats were still in charge.

> …I take no pleasure in writing this post. First off: it’s pretty important to understand, before we look at what could happen under Trump, what is going on, right now, under the Biden administration. Here is an open letter from the Inter-Agency Standing Committee, 15 UN and Humanitarian agencies that include (among others) OCHA, Oxfam, UNICEF and WHO. The very last fire engine in the north was destroyed a couple of weeks ago. Civil defence has ceased to operate. That means when a building is…

When Biden left, Rafah was being cleansed, the north was being cleansed. Israel were claiming Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya were _empty_ in November 2024. Who was President then?

The genocide was well under way on Biden’s watch. The case for genocide was made in _December 2023_. The only thing that’s changed is that now things are orders of magnitude worse.

This is the reality:

> The Biden administration allowed Israel unprecedented leeway to carry out its military offensive, despite the enormous death and devastation it inflicted on Gaza. Former Israeli ambassador, Michael Herzog, made a startling admission about Biden’s support: “God did the State of Israel a favour that Biden was the president during this period. We fought [in Gaza] for over a year and the administration never came to us and said, ‘ceasefire now.’ It never did. And that’s not to be taken for granted.” His remarks encapsulated a broader sentiment that the White House gave Benjamin Netanyahu all the political space he needed to execute the military offensive, which has claimed the lives of more than 52,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children.

> The administration of former US President, Joe Biden, knowingly allowed Israel’s genocide in Gaza to continue long after it had lost any clear military objective, with senior officials in Washingto…

And it wasn’t just this. This guy here?

> This is not the first time State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller has caused widespread shock with his insensitive and controversial statements about Israel’s war on Gaza.

He was pure fucking evil. They were _ghoul’s_. I probably sat through more of those press conferences than everyone here, and they were _apologists_ for Netanyahu. And Miller was one of the worst.

I don’t bring this up very often because it isn’t going to change a damn thing. I’m not going to spend much time going after Biden or his supporters. Trump and co are orders of magnitude worse. Of _course_, people should have voted for Biden.

But don’t pretend that Biden was a “voice of restraint”. Most of the Democrats were entirely useless _here_, and most continue to be entirely useless _now_. I documented the atrocities here on the dope that were committed on Biden’s watch. He doesn’t get a pass.

> Trump isn’t commiting genocide directly

America is funding this war. They are providing material support for this war. They are playing deflection at the UN, voting against almost every single resolution. It’s being done in your name. This is every part _America’s_ genocide as much as it is Israels. And yes, even my own country is complicit.

We don’t get to wash our hands of the blood that easily.
