> Ah, this old favorite! Couldn’t you work a woodsman into this fairy tale? Would be an improvement, over the fanciful notion that GeeDubya awoke one morning, tears streaming from his compassionate, conservative eyes, and resolved to free! FREE! the Iraqi people, at whatever cost, bear any burdern, the usual crap. Perhaps the Iraqi people, whatever the hell that abstraction may actually mean, feel more free now. They have a rather odd way of expressing their fulsome gratitude. Must be a cultural thing.

Oh, no, that’s the true story.

Bush decided out of the goodness of his little black, I mean, out of the goodness of his vast and expansive heart, that Iraqis should be free.
And everybody who opposed the war or wanted it run differently?
Well, they all were close personal friends with Sadaam and thought that he was just _keen_

Oh, and a Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it, and a hot sexy Saturnalia to those who prefer that.

Bush, of course, is the great all-seeing, all-knowing - and in his mind it is better to be free and dead than to live under the regime of the great Satan.

I doubt if Bush gives a fiddler’s toss for the Iraqi people and their freedom - or for the freedom of Americans for that matter [http://slate.msn.com/id/2087984/](http://slate.msn.com/id/2087984/)

Just as long as he doesn’t have to see any dead people - or attend the funerals of any of the soldiers who have died carrying out his insane policies.

Bush talks a lot about evil in other places - is he just blind to the evil within himself??

Yes, but they died in the service of Mau’Dib, er, I mean, Freedom! Yes, Freedom! So they’re all going to paradise.

I notice an amusing development in the “where is Aldebaran from” quest.

Now it seems that I am
a) Iraqi
and therefore
b) Saddam supporting Baathist

I must point this out to Mehitabel as new variation on the theme. She already missed millroj who said I am US-Made. Keep them coming. The whole matter can be a good subject to make a game on Cafe Society.

Salaam. A

> Making resumé: You are there because you can make more money there then at home.

I assume you work for free, do you? And if you’re job required you to be more than half the year away from your family, you wouldn’t ask for more money to do it, either? Don’t be more stupid than you are.

I guess you don’t try to help others where you work do a better job, do you? No, I guess not given your attitude. Nor would it be conceivable that someone from the west would actually care about the people they work with even if they are ‘illiterate natives’, would it?

> I call such delusional behaviour “post-colonial disease”.

I don’t think it really matters what you call anything. You are a blind idiot. Do I think my culture is better than theirs? Yep, I most certainly do. And it ain’t because they are ‘darkies’.

No, even though I know my culture is far from perfect, I don’t have difficulty rating them accordingly. That you do says a lot of you.

> What exacly is “correct” in your eyes when it comes to invade sovereign nations, murdering thousands and thousands of the citizens?

Removing Saddam would be a correct reason, if you actually had a reasonable chance of a good end result. Do you object to Saddam killing thousands and thousands, or is it just invading armies that cause you a problem?

Gee, I am hurt. I haven’t been called a capitalistic pig in a long time. And as you don’t know me you have no idea what I’d say to you if I stood in front of you. I’d probably be polite and if the conversation came around to it I would defend my position in a mannerly way. You probably would pull out a rusty knife and try to cut off my head, at least that is what I get from the tone of your post.

> The relatives of my late nanny still owns everything their family owned since centuries. The USA can try to take it from them.

Why would the USA want what your family has? Saddam could have taken it at his whim. You can deny it all you want, but it doesn’t make it less true. And I am sure he wouldn’t think twice about wiping out the entire family in the process. Because he could do it whenever he wanted, with no recourse at all from you, them, or anyone else, I call them slaves, or maybe more properly slaves in waiting. Maybe not the right term, but I don’t know what else their status could be at the time.

Yeah, what I get is that people are killing those who want to setup a democracy in their country so that they can go implement their own form of dictatorship/theocracy. What? Are you afraid that if you give someone a vote they might use it in a way you don’t like? That maybe women might not like being subjegated to their men and would object to wearing tents everywhere they go or even allowed to go out without some man’s permission? Afraid your liittle male ego couldn’t handle the competition? Yeah, now I get it.

> Your statements in this thread about “what their culture does to them” etc… only confirm your level of reasoning.

Of course it is their culture. Their culture makes one of my employees want to move from his home villiage to the capital because he is afraid that his six daughters (no sons) will grow up and have lives like all his other female relatives. He says himself it is his culture that he is afraid of. He loves his daughter, not like these people:

I assume the government wants these resources developed which is why they allow us to produce the oil for them which they take by far the largest share. Who did you think it was who let us work in Yemen? Martians?

I’ll answer this, though.

> The Great English Teacher who can’t even realize that you can’t possibly learn a language when you are even too lazy to learn its alphabet.

Uh, I am not an english teacher, moron. I manage the computing resources of my company in the field. I am attempting to learn the local language even though it is not required of me in my job function. And as I have many other duties that take up my time I want to learn it the easiest way possible. As it makes sense to learn the alphabit, which I even say in that thread, then I will do so. You see, I know I am ignorant of many things and am willing to change my ways to learn. Nor am I so blind that I can’t see what my weaknesses are and be insulted when someone points it out to me.
I have no ego when it comes to my ignorance. That is why I read this message board.
You, on the other hand, seem to be here only to preach the gospel to the infidels.
