I will say, at least, that it was a good apology. He didn’t try to blame anyone else, it wasn’t “I’m sorry that I got caught”, he owned up to having screwed up, and said he needed to do better. Mind you, I haven’t any idea who actually wrote it, and saying he needs to do better doesn’t matter much unless he actually does. ---

I’m amazed the NFL isn’t suspending him for that. I can’t imagine he’d have gotten away with it if he’d done that to a ref or coach. Why are medical staff less valued? (I’m less amazed that the comments section of that Fox News article is a cesspool of racism 🤢) ---

Well, the penalty set up a Lions score and he was ejected which presumably affected the Packers defense as he was a starter. All that contributed to his team losing. As a MN native, I’m in no way a Packer defender, but since there was actual injury to the trainer, I think the in-game consequences are probably sufficient. ---

They may have very well talked to Walker about the incident and his disturbing pattern of behavior on the field some time after the game, and I’d be shocked if the NFL didn’t have him on a short leash when next season starts.
