Look, as far as issues about the Middle East go, I can agree to disagree (as I have with BrainGlutton, the other frequent member in the Israel threads.) I am very pro-Israel, and a Zionist; this is my belief, but I can respect the conviction of others in their own beliefs. But I can’t respect people who talk about setting off suitcase nukes in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, or who claim that New York’s Jews should be eliminated. That sounds like Nazi rhetoric to me, and while I’m not one to throw around “Nazi” at anyone who doesn’t support Israel, I think this guy just may be an actual Nazi. So fuck you, man, and if you’re not in Saudi Arabia right now I think you ought to be. ---

There’s a difference between a military action in defense of our country and genocide. Bomb Saudi Arabia: They have been funding terrorism, and are known to have had a role in 9/11. Bomb Iran: They’re building nuclear bombs, which they will surely use. Destroy Hamas and Hezbollah: They are terrorist groups; we have a “war on terrorism,” don’t we? Am I advocating genocide, or am I advocating an extremely aggressive military policy? OK, I read the thread in question. **Seva** made some facetious comments to make a point. He did not advocate genocide in either Israel or New York. He was perhaps a little too dry for the intellect of some on this board but I read his comments as sarcastic, not literal. The OP, as I suspected, is completely full of shit. ---

His comments were plainly stated; only vocal emphasis or body language can serve to make such a statement sarcastic, which, obviously, the Internet does not afford us. Therefore as far as I’m concerned he was advocating genocide. ---

1. Sevastopol didn’t state that he was being facetious. You did. 2. I was not arguing about the definition of homophobe. I don’t care what the official definition of it is. Other people turned that thread into an etymological argument, and when I tried to turn it back in the right direction nobody would have it.
