People outside of the demographic that is being targeted. For example her sorority is always brought up as a positive in media since it is a black sorority. Did you know her sorority the, AKA’s, were extremely racist to dark skinned black women, namely the direct descendants of US chattel slavery during her time there? To the point that they were not allowed to join? I’m 52 and I know that, but I’m sure you didn’t. Stuff like this still resonates in the black community. ---

You’re the racist, you think that black people are a monolith, you don’t understand the issues within the Black American community, where lighter skin was always valued more. I linked to a book that explains some of the reasons why a few posts before. I see that as usual, no one bothered to look because I posted it. It’s all black to you, I’m trying to explain its very nuanced. ---

Well for one I have a cite form a book a few posts up. Yes it’s from the 1950’s but that attuited was still very much in effect into the 1980’s when Harris joined, and later into the late 90’s. This is well known within the black community. ---

So why are you asking me if I think black people are the real racists? You already claim to know that there is a bias within the black community for mixed black people that have lighter skin and softer West African features. There is some racism within the black community of course. Trump is trying to play to that. ---

Come on, this board has systematically been banning members with a differing opinion for years now. I think you are forgetting what I said, I’ve been here for years. I’ve seen it before and can see the pattern happing to me. You can try to justify it any way you want if that makes you feel better, but the board is slowly being formed into a bunch of people with the same opinions. An echo chamber that leans liberal. Ok, fine, it’s nuanced. (Sez you) So are ALL relationships within race, creed, color, gender, nationality, North vs South, East vs West, ancestral heritage, upbringing, schooling … SO. WHAT. I will happily take the chance of electing an intelligent, forthright, energizing woman of color (who might, by some slim chance have less-than-complimentary views about some other people of color – though I highly doubt it) over an aging, mentally deteriorating white man who has proven umpteen times that he cares about no-one but himself and will go to ANY lengths to get what he wants. _ **IF** _ he’s trying to play some weird targeted race game it’s going to be too subtle to outweigh the other crap he brings to the table. What IS your point?? Or, like Trump, do you just have to have the last word so you can think that you’re right? DNFTT - I really have to learn that one. ---

What do you mean so what? Trump is trying to play on this within the black community, it could be as high as 10% of the black male vote. More than enough to swing the election. You all have missed the message thinking he was doing it for the MAGA base. He doesn’t care about the MAGA base, he knows he has them. People like you are clueless as to what is happening. I was trying to explain to this liberal board what he was trying to do and why and saying he kind of messed it up. You all attached all of your bullshit on to me. ---

She could lose the election even if she wins the black vote overall, I’m sure you understand this. Biden won by 40k votes in the swing states. The Trump campaign is almost certainly assuming the numbers will be the same as '20 and the polls kind of back that up. Remember that the Democratic candidate needs to be up like +5 points in national polling just to overcome the electoral college. So yes, 10 percent of a demographic in the swing states would mean the difference. You must see that? ---

Hence I disagree that it is going to be devastating to her if she loses 10% of Black men between 18 and 35. 90% of that demographic is pretty good.
