This morning at 4 am, I was surprised by Tinkleberry’s first front tooth, as it SLICED OPEN MY NIPPLE when I tried to nurse him. I pit small pointy teeth. Especially suprise ones. Especially when they attack my nipples. :mad: ---

I just want you to know I said “ARRRGGGHHH” out loud and covered my breasts when I saw the title of this thread. You have my sympathy. I nursed three boys who were early teethers. ::shudder:: Nothing like a high pitched shriek in the dark hours of the night…that comes from the mom, not the baby. ---

The best advice I’ve ever gotten was from my OB/GYN who demonstrated the method for removing a fang-baby from a nipple (or finger, plug of flesh). Pinch the septum? (flap of meat in the middle) of their little nostrils and pull firmly, but slowly upward. They’ll turn loose because the tugging on the nose is uncomfortable. Works better than waiting for lightning on a snapping turtle. 😃 ---

Nah, don’t go to pumping exclusively yet. They learn really quick that biting is bad. Otherwise no one would nurse past the teething stage. 🙂 ---

This reminds me of something that happened to one of my friends - she was in the shower, shaving her legs. She finished, straightened up and shook the razor by flicking her wrist a few times. On the last “shake”, the razor _sliced_ off a bit of her right nipple. :eek: :eek: :eek: ---

Hurt like hell, thankfully the bleeding stopped quickly, but the cut was sore the rest of the day. D. Pirahna ---

Back when I had far much less up top than I do now, I frequently went bra-less. Opening a fuse box to turn on studio lights and having the corner of the metal door slice across your Lovely…that’s a new kind of hurt. When my kidlets started biting, I started them on cereal. Mushed up bananas and cereal go down real good. ---
