On the positive side they were able to manipulate the Republicans into demanding further publicity for the shooter and the Islamic Terrorist groups he wanted to be associated with. So…there’s that. ---

Yeah. I saw the thread title and was all pleased, along the lines of _“Well, **finally** some Dopers have learned to Pit the **specific** Muslims and elements of modern Islam that are actually **responsible** for atrocities, instead of smearing a billion and a half Muslims and their entire religious tradition indiscriminately!”_ 🙂 🆒 And then I come in here and see that the OP’s only reason for such specificity is to smear the Obama administration in particular. :dubious: :rolleyes: Some ignorance, in some posters, is just ineradicable. All we can do is try to contain it and stop the spread.
