The FCC, in particular, holds a completely different stance. Most in power consider sex bad, and try to discourage sex by any means necessary, such as abstinence-only sex ed and covering nude statues. They apparently feel that the temptation is so great to have sex that showing a nipple will drive people into a frothing sexual frenzy. The end result is that they restrict access to any material that might tempt people into activities they deem bad. Were you really unable to piece this together by what I wrote? ---

Completely unrelated to Prudish Asian Types but it is in the ball park of Sexual Weirdness. Somewhere in Paris or therebouts is a cemetary that holds a grave /sarcophogus thingie of the physical likeness of the deceased in the laying state. Apparently the man seems rather well packaged and over the years…he has gotten plenty of free rides, if you know what I mean. and I think you do. Some one help me out. ---

I lived in Japan for 7 years and think that the Japanese are quite relaxed about sex as a topic - using prostitutes or ‘love hotels’, buying condoms and looking at porn is all quite ho-hum. However, parents still tend to want their daughters to stay virginal. Sex is not taught at school. Having an abortion is not seen as such a big deal as it would be in many western countries. In casual conversations I have had, it was quite common for most of the women to have had one or two abortions. In my experience, the Japanese enjoy titilation far more than actual sex. I have never lived in China or HongKong, but get the impression that they are a little more prudy about sex than the Japanese - we have a large number of Chinese students here and a large number end up with STDs and/or unwanted prenancies. I’m not sure if this is due to being free from parental control and ignorance regarding sex or if they would have the same issues back in China. Many Chinese boys are very interested in downloading free porn - as I’m guessing it is not so readily available in China.
