I can’t say I’m so bothered about the cops cheering, people cheer for stupid shit all the time, and despite everything he is the president. But it needs to be made very clear to them that this doesn’t change the rules, and hopefully as body cameras become more common it will be harder for them to get away with it. I think that it was highly inappropriate for those who cheered but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they weren’t actually taking his words to heart; it was more of a rah! rah! moment they got caught up in, particularly being in the presence of the president But this is what we can expect from Trump from now on, and believe me, it’s only going to get worse and more extreme. The extremists in this country need Trump, and Trump needs the extremists. He’s going to unleash them like a pack of wolves. ---
