I just watched Grind House: Death Proof and the description said “An ex-stuntman kills women with his car throughout the south” Well, thank you very fucking much for spoiling the whole first half of the movie for me. They do that with their Twilight Zone and Outer Limits summaries as well. Don’t spoil the fucking thing for me in the description! ---

Considering that the trailers and TV commercials for Death-Proof ALSO reveal that plot twist, and that Tarantino and Russell were pretty open about it in pre-release interviews, I think the idea is that you’re _supposed_ to know the plot twist before you see the movie. ---

Robert Rodgriguez managed to take the _good_ parts of sucky movies, like ridiculous, over-the-top stories, comical dialog, sex scenes and explosions, and make an entertaining homage. Tarantino just tried to make a grindhouse movie, and seemed to be surprised that people reacted badly to 50 minutes of boring-as shit dialog in which nothing happens, followed by a 20 minute car chase and sock to the noggin. ---
