I pit the dumb fucks in Congress

Actually there is a kernel of interest in Clothahump’s complaint. It’s this. The separation of official powers is not intended to be clean cut. Rather it assumes each office with power will jealous of its own reach and always seeking to extend it. The point of the theory and the practice is to have each separate power in tension, so that none has its power safely and without limit.

Bush’s attempts to extend his own power and congress’ their own, so that the 2 conflict, these are normal and anticipated plays in the tripartite system.

Even General Questions?
In my humble opinion, I believe that the Sun has a mass of 2 x 10[sup]33[/sup] grams.

Oh, come on, now, Frank, have you forgotten some of the gems that Reeder foisted upon us? I’d link to them, but the search engine’s acting wonky.

Pop quiz, kids: Clothahump has written a Pit OP in grammatically correct sentences, however the content of those sentences has absolutely nothing to do with observable reality. Given this, and taking his posting history into account, what conclusions can we draw about the price of Thorazine? Answers in full sentences please.

I disagree. Renob and XT simply state that I am wrong and they are right. They are not stating as opinion.Tthey presume to make rulings based on their superior knowledge.
Note I said I disagree. They would have simply said you are wrong.
Frank bitches about my cites. Our righties are quoting from the info available on ESSO,Amoco and other sites which are paid for by the companies I claim claim are bing misleading. How can citing them be valid. I cull through sites and remove the most radical. But being a lefty does not make you wrong.

The plain error of this interpretation of ConLaw has been pointed out to you several times in this thread. Are that oblivious to correction?

I’m pretty sure Clothy are is.

That’s a rhetorical question, right?

Ah-ah-ahh! That should be “In your opinion, are you that oblivious to correction?”

You and Dub seem to both think ‘Commander in Chief’ is spelled ‘Emperor For Life’.

Do you Dub butt-kissers not comprehend that the kind of ‘presidency’ you’re defending has many of the characteristics of dictatorship and that, were the same actions to be performed by a lefty leader of a nation, you’d be arming to invade it?

Oh yeah. To do so would require the ability to think.

Why do you hate the moon?

Oh thank god. It’s been at least a couple weeks since we’ve gotten a Humper ‘Libruls are evil’ thread.

I hope he’ll come by and explain how it’s the Liberal Media’s fault.

Al Qaeda Number Two Sides With Clothahump:

I guess where Clothy and I differ is in this: I expect our Congress to represent the people. And given the November 2006 election, and polls, and just plain old brain power, it is obvious that the people are saying, “We support our troops and want to make sure they have the stuff they need. However, we only want out troops at place X until time Y. They will have adequate funding to stay at place X for time Y. After that, we the people are no longer willing to fund the stay at place X so our troops will come home.” Seems simple to me. I’m not sure how this could be unconstitutional–Congress gets to say we will pay for.

Now the president is saying, “I say how much money you will give me to do whatever I want.” We the people respond that if he wants to go beyond our willingness to pay for his shenanigans, he better find the money somewhere else.

I guess he could self-fund the war for a couple of weeks, or maybe he should look into getting grants from the Iraqis to pay for any extra time they want us there.*

*I’m pretty sure this last sentence is pure bullshit–I don’t think we rent our troops out, do we?

No… not yet. :frowning:

Dude, you are, at best, semi-literate. Don’t try to explain how language works to people who are clearly better equipped than you to understand the nuances of written communication. Instead, listen and learn, and maybe someday, you’ll post something that doesn’t look like it was written by a dyslexic five year old.

See, I’m proud of our Congress for sending this to the president. Everyone knew he would veto, and it’s nice that he’s finally found his pen. But I wanted it put down in writing that our Congress attempted to do the public’s will and that the Commander Guy is the one who said, “No. I insist that we do things my way and your attempts to represent the people are just a waste of time.” Because when history looks back at Bush, I want it on record that the American people tried to turn this shit around. We were not for the war. We tried to get out. We tried to do the right thing. Only one thing stood in our way of doing the right thing and that was The Decider deciding things were going to be done his way. And of course, his lackeys who wouldn’t get on board to over-ride the veto. Craven bastards is what they are.

Congress is not hindering the troops from doing the job. Congress is just saying how long the job will go on, and defining the end of our involvement using milestones rather than George’s whim. Pretty much what they are supposed to do. George is the one who is being a whiny bitch here.

Dude I can see your superiority ,dude.Insults ,how childish.,dude.
