So, I left work early today, played with the most beautiful and intelligent 21-month-old in the world, then had a great sail (SW at 15-25 knots, 1-2 feet). And then I remembered that there was a thread dedicated entirely to me. What a great fucking night. Pedescribe is about to ruin it (assuming thatā€™s a sincere compliment). Can someone please get us back on track and tell me what an asshole I am? Thanking you in advance. ---

**Rand Rover** used to annoy me, but then I got over it. I disagree with his political beliefs, but NO ONE makes me laugh on here as consistently as he does. Dude is funny. Also, he totally pops a hole in the whole ā€œSuper Special Dopersā€ thing. I love him. I just wish heā€™d post _more_; he must be too busy swimming in his piles of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck to come by the pit and skewer dumbasses lately. Or maybe its the kid, I dunno. There are plenty of annoying fuckfaces on this board to pit, the only reason people dislike **RR** is politics. ---

RR is on my ignore list (using the Vbulletin plugin for Firefox), and until that stupid thread, DNFTT was working perfectly wellā€“I forget the guy exists. Which is really the pointā€“to keep the troll from wreaking havoc. And he is very much a trollā€“as has been established forever, one need not not believe what they are saying to be a troll. He has admitted to primarily posting to ā€œtweakā€ posters, and that is enough to label him a troll. Finally, even if your goal is to remove trolls, DNFTT can workā€“if itā€™s actually policy. Otherwise, you will always get the counter-trolls, who often border on trolling themselves. Oh for an ignore feature that could figure out that a thread has become about responding to a troll, and removing it. Instead, Iā€™m stuck with manually blocking threads. ---

The guy likes to intentionally make other people mad. That is why I hate him. Yes, hate him. There are people on this board who believe as he doesā€“but they donā€™t come in to try and piss people off about it. They make actual arguments, occasionally complain about the SDMB echo chamber, but otherwise are decent people. Yes, he has immoral political beliefs. But heā€™s also a really shitty guy. The fact that you find him funny makes me second guess you, as, in general, finding trolling funny is why trolls troll. ---

Look there are a couple people on here that totally piss me off too. Like, irrationally; especially considering weā€™ve never met, never will, and they are just words on a screen. So I know where youā€™re coming from. And if **RR** is that guy for you, well, I can see where youā€™re coming from. Heā€™s not sunshine and flowers. I, however, find his dickishness amusing.
