Oh, what the heck, just one more time. Its not about the validity of voter ID, or any laws pertaining thereto. Its about using those laws as an excuse to make it more difficult for a specific variety of voters. Period. Full stop. If they had wanted to fix the voter ID problem, they would have, because it is so easy. See any such effort? Anywhere? Or do you see efforts to make voter registration more difficult, and potentially criminal? Indeed, efforts to make voting more difficult for totally legit, registered voters when one has an objection to their complexion. And **Lobo**? Don’t know where you went to Sunday School, or even if you did, but where I went, Jesus was all about forgiving. Even, IIRC, forgave the Pharisees, which is Aramaic for “lawyer”. Many Christian denominations insist that Hell exists, but that doesn’t mean there’s anybody there. Your Ma swore if you didn’t take out the garbage RIGHT NOW she’d fucking KILL YOU! You didn’t. She didn’t. We both know why. If you get to the Gates before I do, ask if my grandma is there, she’ll put it a good word for you. And if she’s not, you can pretty much forget it. Cheese Louise, guys, I got my issues with the guy too, but being Catholic? Can’t go there, it’s just plain wrong. There is no human institution, none whatsoever, that is immune to human failing, human perversion, and all the rest of it. I don’t know a single one of them who would say that buggering little boys is a good idea. Its the power structure of the Church that is stupid and corrupt. Liberation Theology, the Berrigan Brothers, Dorothy Day’s Catholic Workers, Archbishop Romeo, the list goes on and on, including a huge passel of nameless nuns. Damn fine people, totally worthy of our support and admiration. What next, outlaw Baptists? That would clearly be…ah…hmmmm. OK, let me think on that one for a while… ---
