Wow, I’m shocked at how much you all love me, I expected much more hateful things from the way this was going last week :rolleyes:. Now I’m even being called a liar, how splendid, you could have at least posted a few more troll accusations though, c’mon guys, you’re slackin’ here, that’s the best you can do? :dubious: I must admit I did start this thread out of some residual anger. If you look at the entire case more closely you’ll see that _I_ never endangered anyone with _my_ little stunt. Plus, if an accident had occurred, I’d be the last one blamed, seeing as how I wasn’t the one passing in the double yellow. to put this scene into better perspective, we (both myself and the driver who passed) were already going over the speed limit, how much faster did the moron really want to go? twice the speed limit? Three times? I’m sure at about 70+ he’d have crashed and burned on the next turn so surely he didn’t want to go that fast. So what’s a reasonable speed? 50 in a 35, 60 in a 35, hell, he should have stopped at the next sign and written down what he thought would be a good speed for that road. I’m sure the cops would understand and just let him go with a warning :rolleyes:. As for the close call, there was about 2 to 4 car lengths even after he was totally back in the right lane, as I said, I’ve seen closer calls back when I used to just slow down and let the bastards pass, even then a couple times it got dangerously close and the fuckers had no hesitation to do it wherever they pleased. One of the things that makes a lot of drivers use excessive speed on this particular road is when they’re going on past the two neighborhood communities, the street does turn into a 45 mph road, and _if_ you’re _leaving_ one of those neighborhoods, then you’re extremely stressed and very late for work - areason for everyone to speed, coming and going :D. If they’re going on down past those communities, then chances are they’re just wanting to get back to the beer and football after getting off from their minimum wage jobs. If you _live_ in one of those two communities, then most likely all you can think about is how damn expensive that fucking golf course is, but you got to be a member 'cause it’s the only fucking way to get away from your PMS ridden bitch of a trophy wife. Oy, sometimes I don’t know what’s worse, the beer and football, or the exorbitantly expensive house… 😉 ---

Maybe so, but how would it be proved? Especially on a lonely stretch of road shrouded by trees and too narrow for anyone to sort out what happened. This is a mute point though, seeing as how there was no accident, just a couple lunatics comparing the size of their balls (the other guy won that contest BTW, I don’t have the cojones to pass someone, even if it is safe to do so, mostly 'cause I don’t care how fast I get to where I’m trying to go. ---

Hell, I remember watching a video in driver’s ed where the exact same thing that the OP describes happened. Two jackasses get into a “my car penis is bigger than yours, rawr!” except the guy who was in the oncoming lane wasn’t able to get back over. Like the jerkoff driver in the video, OP knew exactly was he was doing. I knew not to be an asshole on the road at _sixteen_, too bad the same thing can’t be said for Boss. ---
