As in, this is not meant to be taken as a fact or accurate. If you look at my post that I made that set you off, I did not make a specific reference to any phrase. This thread reminded me of both the “Infamous Sheep” thread and the “I burning your dog” thread. If I am wrong, that is fine and by next week, everyone will have largely forgotten this thread existed. Thank you for the advice on the question marks. You are correct. I am sloppy on punctuation. Jesus, is the Pit barrel so empty we’re kicking around Jim of all people? Excalibre, what the fuck? Flaming is one thing, but punching a guy who’s just sitting there telling you he doesn’t want to fight with you makes you look like a big petty bully. Jim could only be more harmless and less offensive if his typing skills were perfect; they are not, but frankly I find his presence here valuable enough to overlook that, and now his style is just part of his ‘voice’. Maybe yours is the majority opinion, I dunno, but I didn’t want to let this random condescending assault stand unchallenged. ---

I’d like to add another, one, though: Your reaction seems completely over the top to me. I can’t begin to imagine why his sad little in-joke comment would provoke such an emotional/physical reaction in you, but you’re coming off kind of like a jock who likes to punch dorks in the head because they go around dorkily dorking all the time and it just makes him see red. Jim is goofy sometimes, sure; smug I don’t see, I see a genuinely kind man who believes in a harmonious board, but isn’t obsessed with handing everybody flowers and huggles or anything like that. Why he annoys you so much is beyond me, but so is why he gets under your skin so badly you can’t just ignore him. ---

Count me in too with **Ensign Edison**. I don’t always agree with what **What Exit?** says, but I’ve never found him to be anything but an admirable fellow Doper, and I saw \*no \* indication of desperation in \*any \* of his posts. Even if there were (and there isn’t), why would you jump all over it? It would be sad rather than offensive. In short, **Excalibre** , don’t have a cow! ---
