My word. I took a look at the linked thread (from post #7), and I gotta say, I’ve seen grapes with thicker skins than this. If the OP had stuck around a little (or alot) longer, (s)he could have found out that you can get a heckuva nargument out of Dopers over whether water is wet. As for planes on treadmills… no, I ain’t goin’ there. Any and all colloquialisms, errors of grammar, spelling or punctuation in this post are entirely for humorous effect. I kin write good when I gotta. ---

This board is filled with smart, dedicated, snarky people. Everyone thinks they are the smart one. You are yet one more person that has come here, decided that an intelligent, funny, well moderated community fits you like a glove, only to find out that it doesn’t. The fact is, is that half the people are below average, and yet if you asked 100 people where they fit on the scale, not a damn one of them would guess average or below average. No one thinks they are the dumb one. No one thinks they are the close-minded one. And yet, many, many people are. Take your attitude, take your insistence on ignorance, and find a better place to be. Do yourself a favor. Don’t kid yourself. Find one more like you. I agree with a previous poster. You give yourself too much credit, are willing to take too much credit away from those that disagree with you and while the former isn’t a reason to not be here, the second is really contrary to the purpose of this board. In case you also didn’t read, on every, single, stinkin’ page, it says in not so small print: “Fighting Ignorance Since 1973 (It’s taking longer than we thought)” So requesting a refund, twice. Well, I think you got off cheap. ---
