**Elza B** , if you don’t mind the eBay route, [here](http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=%22pampered+chef%22+quick+stir+pitcher*) is some linked search results (roughly – quick versus ‘quik’ and all that) for the item you’re looking for. Regardless if that tickles your fancy or not, here’s hoping good luck lands in your kitchen with an appropriate pitcher. 🙂
Thanks, **faithfool**! I actually have the one - I was looking for something similar as a backup because we weren’t running the dishwasher every day at that point, and it gets a lot cleaner in the dishwasher. I’m not mixing his bottles in advance anymore, so I haven’t even used the pitcher in about 2 months, but it was wonderfully nice when I was making 6 bottles at a time. I did get a cheap knock-off at Target, but it didn’t mix anywhere near as well.

I also love that I didn’t pay for the original one in the first place :D. I’ve never actually been to a Pampered Chef party, and I’m not sure I’m missing anything. I’d rather spend the two hours browsing in Sur La Table instead.

E.
[hijack continuation]I’ve gotten good results from using a regular whisk and a plain pitcher. I also used the Tupperware Quick Shake, which worked very well, was much easier to clean than the Quick-Shake pitcher and the Quick Shake is virtually unbreakable if it’s dropped. It’s also a little less expensive. ($11 for the Tupperware vs. $14.50 for the Pampered Chef)[/hijack continuation]

We just put the formula straight in the bottle and shook it. That worked really well, too. But I’m cheap.

The asshole OP shows why you should never deposit a check from a stranger in your own back account- if at all possible, (sometimes its not), take it to their bank and cash it- more of a hassle timewise, and no possbile bad check fee.

To bad it wasn’t fro 500.00 IIRC at that level it becomes a felony.

**badkittypriestess** , you wouldn’t by chance live in Miami and be friends with my fadder-in-law would you? Because this sounds like something crooked he would do.
Recently he told my brother-in-law that he was taking their entire family out for a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant. The check came ($400+) my F-I-L only had 2 hundreds on him (and no credit cards! You need credit to have one of those) so everyone else there had to pony up. Then he whines _“Whya is you all a so grumpy. I take a yous out for a gooda meal and all a yous do iz complain”_ This happened over Christmas and my Bro-I.L. still rants about it!
But back to you, **badkittypriestess**. Poetic justice would be your paycheck bouncing and your employer telling you they’ll get your money to you in 3 more weeks.

And you won’t be able to say anything about it, because according to your fucked-up rules it is _THEY_ who could come here and bitch about you wanting your money.

Asshole thief!

Hell, I’m still trying to find the WonderCup (a device that’s supposed to allow you to both measure and dispense sticky and pasty/greasy substances such as peanut butter and shortening without frescoing your kitchen with residue). Pampered Chef appears to have dropped the item, and Williams-Sonoma isn’t being any more forthcoming.

I wonder if the OP asked the Pampered Chef rep to hold the check, and forgot to mention it. Or maybe handed the check over, and said something along the lines of “I work for the school district.”

Naaahh.

Am I alone in thinking the OP should write a $200 check to herself to put the account in credit? Hell, make it $400 and then she can buy more stuff from another Pampered Chef party! Everybody wins.

I recognize that the above is completely undercut by the fact that I’m willing to consider an outfit such as Pampered Chef in the first place. I just don’t care. 😛

Seriously, thanks for finding that; I’ll ask **kaylasmom** if she’s interested enough in having it to consider getting it online.

Wow. I have bounced more than my share of checks. I hate to admit it, but it is true, but…
_ **But** _, I would never, ever be pissed off at the person to whom I bounced a check because they wanted me to make it right by them. WTF kind of thought process is that? If you don’t have the money in the bank to cover the check (and Nofuckingbody needs $200 worth of Pampered Chef shiat), then you don’t need the shit to begin with. Or you should get a fucking credit card. Holy Hell. I am just about speechless…but not quite…

Right! This sounds like me, actually, especially with this kind of item. Sure, now it doesn’t seem like it’s worth the trouble to buy it, and then in a week or so, I’ll be baking peanut butter cookies, trying to measure out the PB in a regular measuring cup, and cursing myself for not just buying the damn thing when I saw it!

Sorry to hear you had a bad day. The saleswoman did, too. She’s paying your bank fees.

I get paid once a month, too — that just increases _my_ burden of responsibility to keep my checkbook balanced. The minute I write a check for $200, I should be deducting that from my bank balance _whether or not the salesman puts it in the bank._

I recommend you handle all your transactions via ATM. Fewer bounces that way.

Do you have any actual experience yourself to speak of, or is everything about someone you know and how you’re an expert on the subject because you happen to know someone who does whatever the thread is about?

Oh, no, wait. You do work in a musuem.

I worked at a mom-and-pop place while in high school that didn’t have tele-chek or anything like that, and so when someone became known to us as having written us a couple of bad checks, their picture was up behind the register where the cashier could see it, with a note that said 'Don’t take any checks from: ’ and their name.

I’ve never done Pampered Chef (and the word ‘pampered’ is just _priceless_ in light of the OP’s attitude!), but my impression is that you place an order, give a check, and then wait for your goods to come in. Not that the party rep has everything right there. Wouldn’t that be an awful lot of stuff to carry?

Anyhow, maybe the OP figured that it didn’t _really_ matter because she didn’t have the actual stuff.

**NOT** that I am saying I agree with that—I don’t! But perhaps she didn’t realize that her order and payment was binding??

As for how stores recoup for bad checks—if you don’t pay up, around here, they can press charges for larceny by check.
