Yeh. It’s weird to read Lost Boys, where the protagonist was an unapologetic liberal Mormon democrat and try and reconcile that guy with Card’s recent works. Of course, child molestation, and it’s effects on people’s psyche is a theme. ---

Also, there are [straws with sort of funnel-like heads](http://www.go-girl.com/) that women can use. I know, I know: way way way TMI. But maybe someone here will find it useful. Going off the trail and peeing behind a tree should not be a male perquisite. This is an “equal justice” era! ---

There was a scene early on in _The Full Monty_, in which several women went into a public men’s room and used the urinals standing and facing them, just like men would. They had to arch a bit to get a good arc going though. ---

The first one’s quite amusing as Card in the afterword of one of his novels in the late '90s criticized the missile strikes by Clinton against Al Qaeda targets. ---

I can’t believe nobody has slapped him. I’ve wondered, sometimes, if he isn’t hoping to get on the Koch brothers’ payroll, or something. Maybe a good bit of the uber-conservative schtick is a pose…but I really doubt it. ---
