Here in Chicago, it’s a *bonus *if there is laundry onsite, and it’s almost always coin-op. There are lots of coin-op laundromats that apartment dwellers lug all their stuff to. I lived in a southern suburb of Chicago and there was a laundry room in the basement, also coin op, and in Evanston in two buildings and both had communal coin op laundry. I’ve never seen a Chicagoland apartment with private laundry hook ups in unit.
I just worked out the numbers, and I’ve spent over $4500 in quarters to wash and dry laundry over the last 10 years. :smack:
