I have been absent for several months from this site, and while I was learning German in Germany, one particular asshole pretty much called me a racist. [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php?u=75231](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php) Kobal 2, I believe, implied that I would agree with the avowed racist who started the thread, which simply copnfused the OP, who had never heard of me. Just for the record, the racist who started this thread genuinely does NOT know me, and I would never associate with such people. In fact, as I have often pointed out, I am part black myself. The identification with racism aparently stems from my warnings of the threats that militant Islam poses to our freedoms. Since Islam is not a race, I have yet to understand how that makes me a racist. If someone can please show me where I have made actual racist comments, please do so. Otherwise shut your f\*\*\*king mouths. ---

Meh. Racist is often used when the particular brand of prejudice is hard to name. And, well, most Muslims are that way because their cultural and ethnic heritage. There’s a reason why people who are scared of Islamofascists are uneasy around people who wear turbans. ---

Carter claimed that much of the overall hysteria aimed at Obama was based in racism, which I don’t think any intelligent person can deny. The republican party is a safe haven for racists. The first female justice was appointed by a Republican; the first black Supreme Court justice was appointed by a Republican; the first female Secretary of State was named by a Republican; the first Hispanic Attorney General was appointed by a Republican; many of the first female senators and governors were Republican, and obviously elected by Republicans.
