The New York Magazine one, btw, doesn’t belong on the list in any case–it is clearly intended as a comment on attitudes toward Obama, rather than being intended as a characterization of Obama’s own ontological category. The same arguably goes for some of the other images you linked to. Even culling the list of images that fail to make your point that there are lefties who think Obama is the Messiah, the point you’re making fails to have much import for the conversation. No one denied that there are lefties who think Obama is the messiah. What was denied was that lefties in general think Obama is the messiah. ---

I’m not going to argue against the First Amendment. If “Piss Obama” strikes some Americans as good art, that’s their right.
