"I played good."

Possibly by misspelling “athlete”

I play good all the time. It’s only when nobody’s looking that I kick puppies.

how about “you did good.”?

I never said it would be easy.

I once saw a football player, in a post-game interview, answer a question with this response:

“Quite a much!”

Gotta say, I speak like this quite a much. Ze Germans, when they don’t have to worry about gender agreement with adjectives, don’t distinguish between adjectives and adverbs. Seems more elegant to me, so when I noticed similar constructions slipping into my English speech, I chose not to fight it.

John Mellencamp meets Strunk & White:

“Hurts so well
C’mon, baby, make it hurt so well,
Then you can help me lurn how to spell
Hurts so well”
