Nah… That’s trying it for real. I’d rather show the joke card and hope it lightens the moment. (If the guy is acting hard-core/hard-case, I wouldn’t bother trying. But if he’s at all cool, the joke card could be fun.) ---

I once had a free kiss card that I gave to my female boss, and she planted a kiss on my cheek along with a hug. Hey, it works. My coworker said I was moving up in the world. ---

Though I apparently killed the thread with my last post, I’ll mention someone I know who has decided to clean the dishware (the dishes, the bowls, the silverware, everything) by hand even though she has a functional dishwasher. She doesn’t have her kitchen set up for cleaning dishes by hand so there’s nowhere to station them for drying, and I suspect that she washes them by running mildly warm water out of the faucet with minimal cleaning agent (and no water in the sink to soak them in). She called me foolish for suggesting that she start using her dishwasher again. ---

Would she call you foolish for suggesting that she station the clean dishes in the dishwasher racks until she’s finished drying them? ---

I didn’t have a dishwasher in an apartment once. My main concern is that she’s just rinsing them under warm running water rubbing with her fingers rather than washing them in hot water with detergent.
