I find it fascinating that the list of “Forum Leaders” shows **fluiddruid** no longer moderating the Pit, yet still shows **Giraffe** as still modding the Pit. Fascinating. ---

My name was also removed pretty much the moment I quit IMHO, and my title changed as well. I think this indicates great interest in talking **Giraffe** around, and frankly, my wondering resides solely in what they are trying to talk **Giraffe** around to. ---

I walked into a patch where there’d been some thawing and it had just recently frozen over again. Picture a good foot or so of ice, with an inch of water above it, and then a thin crust of ice on top of that. It’s safe, you’re only going to drop an inch, but you don’t know that when you step onto that thin crust and hear the ice underneath you start to crack. It was quite an experience. I just had that same feeling. Thank you both for your sterling work in very difficult circumstances. ---

Both **Giraffe** and **fluiddruid**? This is a major bummer ☹ I pretty much never care about the revolving door of moderators, but this time, yeah, I’m pretty bummed out. And count me in among those who aren’t thrilled at the thought of Ed taking over the forum himself. ---
