In the next movie, Susan Calvin moves her workshop to Germany and discovers a way to recreate the neural pathways of people who have been long dead and place their consciousness into a positronic brain. Her first experiment is with John F. Kennedy. The movie’s called **Ich bin ein Roboter**. ---

As long as Steven Seagal is in it, how could it go wrong…? **I Robot! Above the Law and Under Siege!** (BTW, while I agree that the movie was nothing like the book, remember that a lot of the action in the original book took place in space. Not that I’m holding out much hope that this one will be any closer to the book than the first one…as others have said, it doesn’t look like it was meant to be.) -XT ---

Can I be the lone voice of dissent and say that I really enjoyed I, Robot? I thought it was great. Granted, I’ve never read any Asimov, but I, Robot the movie was awesome. ---

I read Asimov’s books and I enjoyed the movie as well. I wasn’t expecting it to be like the movie so pretty much took it on it’s own merits. Anyone who actually expects a movie to be just like a beloved book is in for a disappointment. If you basically go in with the idea that the movie might resemble the book slightly (hey, there WERE robots in it, yes?? :)) then it makes things much better.
