Rather convenient of you to lop off your literal (if erroneous) description of the Final Solution. You know, sending people in trains to concentration camp in Poland and inserting what ICE is doing in place of trains, concentration camps and Poland. But to remind you again, they were not concentration camps. They were extermination camps. Well said! It’s mixed up with a lot of dogshit in their poor noggins: - Trump likes Putin, so I like Putin! Putin wants to revive the USSR, so I like the USSR! - Putin is Christian and supports Christian values, so I like Putin! - Libs like rainbow/woke/something something, and Trump and Putin fight these. Go Trump! Go Putin! - Trump stands for law and order [= authoritarianism, but they don’t have the concept], and so does Putin–and look at how tough they are. Go Trump! Go Putin! I was going to ask about that myself. They are NOT the same thing. A Soviet flag, red with a hammer and sickle? That, I’d recognize. A Russian flag? That, I’d have to look up. @nearwildheaven That’s why I asked which it was. Seemed someone had the idea the two were the same. They’re not. In reality, of course, the Soviet Union was the empire of the communist party of Russia (ostensibly the Communist Party of the Soviet Union) and thus _was_ Russia, but ostensibly, nominally, and legally, Russia was merely one of the constituent republics of the USSR. [Here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Soviet_Union#Derived_flags) is a wiki page showing the USSR’s constituent republics’ flags during their time in the USSR. You’ll note from the link you provided, Russia’s current flag was in use from 1705 to 1922 and then again from 1991 to now. ---
