# I Saw Mike Holmes Yesterday!

We went to the Calgary HomExpo yesterday, and saw [Mike Holmes](http://www.holmesonhomes.com/?fuseaction=mike.showMikeContent) live!

That guy is seriously passionate about people doing home renovations not getting horribly screwed by unscrupulous and/or incompetent contractors. And not hard to look at, either. It was quite cute when he blushed over being asked to flex for a picture.

Don’t suppose you guys get his show in the U.S. Too bad for you :D!

Lucky! I love that show, though my favorite part is either 1) Watching him complain about the previous contractors or 2) Watching him tear everything apart 😃 Any chance he’ll be in Halfax sometime soon so I can get a picture?

(Need…cable…not enough…Holmes…)

I didn’t faint, but there was "woohoo"ing aplenty.

I like watching him bitch about the other contractors, too. In his presentation, he mentioned going to court for a family that had been completely screwed by their contractor. He was kind of an expert witness, I suppose. It sounded like he enjoyed himself immensely.

Hmm, he doesn’t appear to be a self-aware supercomputer running a revolution on the Moon. I’m not quite as impressed as the title led me to believe. 😉
