Agree and the plain-white look is probably to not bring attention to the valuable content. Now, if it were plain black or grey, and the windows heavily tinted (or with rear windows with one-way reflective finish), that would be a rape van ;)…

I see vans like this all the time, my neighbor down the street has one. He’s a contractor and he keeps his tools and equipment in it. It doesn’t have any logo on it.
Missed the edit, but if you google contractor van locks, you get plenty of pics of white vans with the type of locks you describe.

It’s a thing that appears in all the glurgy email forwards warning women to not ever park their car in a parking lot nor walk though a parking lot, lest they disappear inside one, never to be seen again. In glurge-world, about half the men in the USA drive one.
In the real world they’re pretty much non-existent.

My company buys vans like that. We have four we just put on the road that do not have the company logo wraps installed yet.
It’s a slang term for a windowless van (usually in shitty condition, though.) Yes, like the child molester stereotype, or the “speaker van” stereotype. Just Google image search “rape van” for many examples.
But not under ‘Shopping’.
