# I see a man. Is he in Michigan? Does he have a finger up? Is it his middle finger?

Michael Schermer, publisher of _Skeptic_ magazine and (hopefully) regular contributor to _Scientific American_ recently wrote a [succinct ass-ripping](http://www.sciam.com/2001/0801issue/0801skeptic.html) of Edward. In fact, he sums it all up in one beautiful little sentence:

Dude’s profiting from tragedy. Whatever he or anyone else says in his defense, there is no sidewinding around that. So here’s another finger to him in advance of whatever “conversation” I might have with him down the line.
