My guess is that P. hasn’t told his wife shit. As far as the OP has told us all information about that side of the relationship has come through P. I’ll take the under on the spread.

I think it is smart of you to keep the avenues of communication open even if you do not accept the circumstances. Just make sure everyone knows your not taking sides and your not becoming involved. This way you wont get 2 am phone calls expecting you to save someones butt.
