> I swear I get hairier every year. Up until my early 20s I thought I’d take after dad in the hair department. He’s got a bit of leg and arm hair, but almost nothing on the torso other than the universal pits and crotch. Then, when I was about 23 or 24 I started getting wider shoulders and thicker muscles, which I liked, along with body hair and extra pudge, which I didn’t.
>
> It started as a soul patch on my sternum, that gradually spread across my chest, and a “happy trail” from my bellybutton down. That wasn’t so bad. Now, however, I’ve got the crap everywhere. Thank the gods I don’t have hairy shoulders or kidney patches, but part of me wonders if that’s only a matter of time, considering that it was only about 6 or 7 years ago that my torso was close to hairless. Damn hair is starting to show signs of coming out my nose and ears sometime in the future.

I’m trying to figure out what’s supposed to happen if mine keeps growing. My back hair is almost as dense as my chest/belly [hair].

Add a codicil to your will: You want your best beloved to keep your pelt as a bear skin rug, after you pass away. 😃

When you shave your hair grows back faster and thicker! When you wax your hair grows back nice and soft, new hair. Much nicer than stubble.
Stubble hurts and shaving is more time consuming in the long run.
Waxing hurts a wee bit more but worth it. Either way you will itch but the more you do it the less it will happen.

I actually googled Zak Spears, and my reaction was this:
“Ok, his name is Zak Spears.”

Apparently, I’d seen him before, but never noticed his name (if you can imagine that.)

But I still don’t get the problem with anyone looking like him.

Cite! 😃

I have always said, there’s no such thing as too much body hair on a man. I will say it til my dying day. I repeat. There is no such thing as too much body hair on a man.

Not that being smooth is a bad thing. It’s just, body hair on a man, _ROWR_

Now, tell me. How am I, with my lack of digital camera and 3rd arm, supposed to take a picture… of my back?

Who has a problem with anyone looking like him?

No third arm? Dang, that’s worse than having only two legs. Now, I want a picture cause you are apparently some freak of nature. 😛

Gentlemen, gentlemen!

Straight chick checking in here to say: Why did no one ever tell me of the existence of Dean Pheonix? Ohmigod! Hottie!

_ahem_

No. I came here to say, that just like 90% of your girly sistren, you have been misinformed re: shaving and hair regrowth. Shaving does NOT cause hair to grow in thicker, darker or more quickly. [Cite.](http://www.mayoclinic.com/invoke.cfm?id=AN00638) Waxing may do enough damage to the hair follicle to make it grow in more thinly, but it may not.

Shaving body hair is a huge commitment, and one not to be entered into lightly. There is a point of regrowth (and it’s much sooner than you think) where you’re just causing your parnter a world of ouch and razorburn, even if they’re too polite to tell you. Maybe men have thicker hides, but the alabaster skin of this redheaded female was very ouchy only a week post-shave (her man’s shave, that is).

Yes there is. I saw this guy at Home Depot the other day that could have combed his entire body. His body hair was as long as his head hair, in a freakish sort of way.
He was wearing a ‘wife beater’ is how I know.

Cool! You spotted Sasquatch shopping for a new washer and dryer.

There’s a couple guys at my gym that had me confused. I kept wondering why they wore sweaters under their wife-beaters. While working out, no less.
