# I shaved

For the first time in 18 years, I shaved. Off came both beard and moustache. I’m not sure if I prefer the result. Maybe it will grow on me 😃
Now I’ve got the housework to do.

Why did you decide to shave?
(I’m sorry, when you said you hadn’t shaved for 18 years, I was picturing some scraggly beard hanging to your belly button. Then I saw the pic…not to bad!)

There must be something in the air. Last weekend I reduced the full facial coverage I’d sported for the last 12 years down to a slimline goatee.
Vast swaths of my face which had not tasted steel for over a decade suddenly found themselves being scraped clean with nary a warning. There was some unhappiness involved, but my facial epidermis has now reconciled itself to the situation.
Tis the season to be shaving, I guess.

I don’t have enough facial hair to grow a beard. If I try, I just end up looking like I have a nasty beard-combover.
I know a guy who tried to grow a thicker beard by putting Rogaine on his face. He ended up with an inch-thick unibrow.

For some reason, I would have never ever pictured you with a beard.
I had never seen my dad with out a moustache until I was 19 years old. One day he just shaved it off. He grew it back a few years ago.

Notice that the newly exposed skin formerly under the beard is so sensitive right after shaving that you can feel air currents moving around in the room?
