I should have brought Vaseline.

Er, that would be my last year of college.

No, what sucks is selling back your book at the end of a semester, and then finding you need that book for another class, and having to buy it NEW again. DOH!

Medea’s Child, I strongly suggest you hold onto your engineering texts despite the urge to sell them used to help make up some of the exorbitant price. It really bites to buy one twice.

Get this - when I started, we had a computer use fee that ran $100 a semester. This was for engineers only. Then the school started putting in computer labs for student use for reports and such. Close to when I graduated the university instituted a new computer fee. It was $5 a credit hour for other majors, but a full $20 a credit hour for engineering majors. Because we use computers so much more.

Um, speaking as a grad student in the English department, I can say it really isn’t a picnic either. I recently had a lit course that required me to buy a grocery bag full of paperbacks–each one at about twice what they were worth. I don’t have my records handy, but all told, I wound up blowing way over $200 for that class.

On the other hand, at least your Engineering degree is kinda useful in and of itself–must be nice having motivation to learn…
