Everything went very smoothly. Very minimal requests from the inspectors (although FHA had me repaint an exterior doorframe and stair railing because of some peeling paint, which I thought was pretty picky). Today was the closing. $208K in my pocket. StG ---

I never saw anything in writing and, as a first time home buyer, I didn’t realize this is sort of unusual. The door was in pretty poor shape so I did scrape and paint it within a few weeks of moving and never heard about it again. It’s not like the door was in need of repair or anything beyond cosmetic paint: the same door is doing fine now 14+ years later.
