Out of context it looks more stupid than it was. He was talking about the hiring of illegal aliens. He meant to say something like, “in the US it’s against the law it hire illegal aliens” or something. Haj ---

Isn’t it pretty clear that he meant “It’s against the law in the Unitd States to hire people [who are here] illegally.”? I’m not a big fan of Kerry (though I certainly like him better then Bush), but this seems nitpicky. ---

John Kerry is _not stupid_. His wife Teresa says she’s taught him to make risotto. It was in the N.Y. Times yesterday\*. \*a risky revelation, given that even now the GOP is probably preparing an attack ad portraying Kerry as a wuss and suggesting that real men only make three-alarm Texas chili. ---

well, it’s not Bush’s intellectual abilities that make him a scary leader, IMO. For instance, I believe strongly that Bush is far more intelligent than a lump of stale tofu. I do think, however, that the tofu would do a better job of running your fine country. ---
