# I subscribed to a thread.. and discoverd I'd subscribed to hundreds of others in 2001

For the first time in my recollection I subscribed to a thread. I wanted to have some updates on some tech stuff that I just couldn’t find googling and the thread appeared promising, if young. So rather than keep the window open I thought “Hey… I’ll just do that subscribe thread thingy… Never bothered with it before…”
And it turns out I’ve subscribed to almost 200 in the past… With one being in 2004 and all the rest being in 2001. A quick scan is some posts on an almost daily rate from 8/01 until 12/01, a couple in the spring of '02 then one in '04. None since then (that is, until I _intentionally_ subscribed to a thread today).
Uh… Why?

and though I filled up every possible space in the thread title I did not remove an “e” from “discovered” to do so.
I would’ve taken a “.” out.
Or bought another vowel.

Perhaps you had set your subscription settings to subscribe to threads you posted in, then changed them back at some point. In 20004, you must have subscribed to some thread for some reason, then forgotten about it. No doubt, in 5 years, you will look at the thread you subscribed to today, and wonder why you did that.
