The new cat 5 has a really tiny high pitched girly sort of meow. Very quiet, I can barely here him from 20 feet away. My older cat Jezabel can blow your eardrums out, she is hardcore loud. ---

One of my childhood cats barked at a friend’s terrier. Then the other cat decided to kill it and we had to lock him in my bedroom to prevent this. ---

We once had a cat who if you asked him, “Who is the Glorious Leader of the People’s Republic of China?” and tugged on his tail, he’d give you the correct answer. All the current cat ever says is “NOW!” Yeah, your cat probably barked. Probably either to confuse you or to observe your reaction. The same way dogs like to condition Psych students to make notes on their clipboard when the pooches salivate or not. ---

Our older cat occasionally barks. She also chatters like a monkey when she sees a squirrel. Most disconcertingly, she sounds _exactly_ like a babbling human toddler just before she throws up. ---

My eleven-year-old Siamese cross has always been chatty, but she’s gotten even more so over the past year or so. She came into the kitchen while I was making dinner today and very clearly said, “Mama!” (I think she’s a little too old to call me that. She should really switch to “Mom” soon.) ---

My Siamese girl can also say “MAMA!”. And she will, if you ignore her for long enough, or if you put your hands behind your back and tell her that you don’t have any hands, so she isn’t going to get petted. ---
