# I talk to myself

Maybe it’s because I live alone. Or maybe I’m a raving lunatic. But I tend to have “out loud” conversations when I’m by myself.
Typically, I find myself rehearsing conversations I may have later on (i.e. this weekend, I’m meeting up with a friend to see a baseball game. He’s a huge Giants fan, and he’s in denial about Barry Bonds and steroids. This morning, while in the shower, I was explaining why I believe Bonds did steroids, although I doubt we will actually have the conversation, since I don’t want to start an argument). Sometimes, I end up giving my two cents to whatever conversation I may have heard from a talking head on TV. Or, perhaps it’s a whimsical imagining of myself doing Letterman or The Daily Show. Actually, on the way to work this morning I composed this OP in the car.
I do not hear other voices. I do not argue with another personality. And, if I’m living somewhere that includes other people, I restrict my inner monologues to inside me. So I’m not totally batshit crazy. But, I guess I’m a little nuts.

I imagine myself talking to one of my friends or my wife or a colleague. I explain things in very long winded ways while I figure them out as I go. Then when I talking about that subject again I can be clear and concise. Talking to yourself is a life-skill!

I think she likes the sound of her own voice or something.
She lives alone. Well, her and her cat.
Of course, she IS batshit crazy.
