Ugh, did anyone see the “news” page on his/her Mission America site? It’s “Good News” that “A controversial program that trained students as young as sixth grade to report peers for verbal comments criticizing homosexuality has been scrapped by the state of West Virginia.” Of course, when they say ‘verbal comments criticizing homosexuality’ I doubt they mean meaningful 6th grade debates on homosexuality. Of course, they are talking about harrassing gay kids, calling them faggots, and making life hell for them. Yeah, it’s the gays who are hurting this country, and not the hateful bigots… :rolleyes: If there was a God He would weep. ---

Lets have a SDMB Atheist/Pagan/Jewish/Sensible Christian/etc pray in for Dr. Chuckie!!! We (hope/pray/wish) that Dr. Chuckie (finds tolerance and understanding/finds his ass with both hands/finds a long walk on a short pier). Everyone set their watches to alarm at noon CST tomorrow and say your prayer for Dr. Chuckie! Pagans should feel free to burn their own sage and atheists can mumble under their breath about how useless it all in (Guin can say the rosary if she insists). ---

**DrChuckie** , why do you have such a hard-on for homosexuality as opposed to other forms of extramarital sex? Presumably heterosexuals who live together are just as guilty as homosexuals. I would also like to understand why you feel the secular USA should enforce what is essentially a religious proscription that doesn’t coerce anyone against their will. Homosexuality is against my personal morality, but I fully support gay rights and the legalization of gay marriage. ---

Folks, as much as I’d like to tromp all over DrChucklehead with you, there’s something more overwhelming on my mind… I love being part of this board. If this place is any indication of how civilization is progressing, then it’s a great time to be a human being. All my life, I’ve wanted to see the kind of homophobic claptrap that DrC spews treated with the respect it deserves. I’ve wanted to see it treated the same as KKK or neo-nazi propaganda; something to be put up with, but ridiculed. Something that only the most hateful of people would ascribe to. I’m genuinely, honestly moved. ---

Frankly, I would prefer if **H4H** and **Dr.** _wouldn’t_ pray for me. I find their attitude (and yes, they seem to share one) very, very offensive. Any God that would listen and respond to the prayers of people so close-minded and bigoted as these two is of no interest to me, whatsoever. ---
