# I think I found my new Slay the Spire: Forward: Escape the Fold

I have been looking for a game that was as quick and playable as StS. There have been a couple (Monster Train being the best I had found) but I think I finally found another: Forward: Escape the Fold.

It’s card driven, but not a deck building game like Spire and I am really enjoying it so far. Anyone else play?

I watched [a Youtuber playing it almost two years ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD_OOaPxy-U). There was another vaguely similar one called Right & Down that also looked kind of neat (among other similar games). I think I heard that type of game called a “card crawler”.

Personally, I play Legends of Runeterra: Path of Champions when I want to have some roguelike deckbuilder fun.

This is the “[Card Thief](http://www.arnoldrauers.com/)” / “Card Crawl” genre. They have a bunch of different games available, so if you get bored you can always switch to a different one…
