I’m glad to hear the medicine is working better! I know making the decision to put a pet down isn’t easy…I still remember how hard it was to put my childhood dog to sleep, and that was 7 years ago. (I still cry when I remember the last thing she ever did, which was respond to the one command I ever taught her. When I’d say “Give me a kiss,” she’d lick my face. And that was the last thing she ever did.)

Whatever ends up happening, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

First of all…{{{{{{good thoughts for you both}}}}}}} and as many healing and healthful hopes as I can send across the 'net.

Second, since we’re in share-mode, I have a memorial page on my website where you’ll find a picture of [**my Tuner**](http://www.geocities.com/la_peta/memorial.html) (about halfway down the page), who was claimed to cancer. The story of his sad ending is included in the article I wrote about grief, which is below the memorial pictures.

Third, thank you all for sharing your stories, both for Blast and for the rest of us. There’s a deep comfort in knowing we’re not alone in our love for our companion animals and our sense of loss at their passing. Falcon, its been just over 10 years since I lost Tuner, and I still cry when I think of him.

Finally, \<minor hijack coupled with a hope that Morti won’t be eligible for this for a LONG time\> I’ve always intended to include, but haven’t received any submissions, a friends’ and guests’ memorials section on my website. Considering your touching stories, relationships and losses, I’d be honored if any or all who’ve posted here who lost a loved one would like to be part of a guests’ memorial, please e-mail me privately ([la\_peta@yahoo.com](mailto:la_peta@yahoo.com))–you can include a pic/url of pic and a snippet about him/her, relevants dates and your name (& url). If not a long life, a quality life–but here’s hoping and wishing for both for Morti.
