I would keep the bad stuff under wraps. No point in hurting your husband more. Back in the '70s there was a movement that demanded everybody be honest and forthcoming all the time about everything. Wife and I agreed that’s also a way to hurt people by saying, “I’m just being honest.” Any lawyer would tell you that their standard relationship advice should be, “Answer questions truthfully, but don’t volunteer any information.” But that’s their answer to everything. (Sorry, three lawyers in the family and some things rubbed off on me.) ---
