Sting didn’t have to worry about Dave Matthews, since Matthews came well after Sting was ensconced as a popular artist. Matthews, on the other hand, needed to avoid being Sting. ---

His best known song is “Your body is a wonderland” and the video has him singing at the Georgia Theater in Augusta with a white button down shirt. He’s playing an acoustic on a stage with a bunch of Christmas lights. In my opinion, he sings in a kind of annoying whispery way. He not terrible, just . . . vanilla. ---
