Thanks all. I see now that I should not be suspicious. I hate to think badly of people and am glad to see that I may be wrong.

I have a business too and I do not accept credit cards mostly because of the associated costs and general PITA. On my scale a chargeback could be devastating especially if it was for more than $200 or so.
