Only if **someone else** is responsible for cleaning it. I have a clear glass shower door in my apartment in Kansas City, and it is a nightmare to keep clean. The tub looks like it will be even more difficult than a shower door. Pretty much every time you use it, you’ll have to scrub it - especially if you live in an area with hard water like KC. ---

I’d imagine it would come in very handy if one had an porn site. I’ve not checked, but I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who really want to see hot women bathing in a clear tub and will pay good money to see it. And I’m equally sure there is at least a few guys who will pay good money to scrub out that tub, solving the problem mentioned in my earlier post. ---

This is a truly beautiful piece of interior design, and if you went whole hog and sunk some lighting fixtures in underneath the tile, covered in more glass, it will be exquisite. It will also be a bitch and a half to keep clean. Oh, and if you ever accidentally swing a heavy belt buckle into it, it will no longer be a tub but rather a drywall-ruining device. ---

As someone pointed out in the comments, it’s not going to be very comfortable, as it’s all straight lines and right angles. A real bathtub has slopes and curves so you can lie down in it comfortably. ---

I had no idea some guys like the idea of various body parts squished against glass. Will wonders never cease. No doubt, however, that my SO would like it. He would like me naked under any circumstances, if experience is any indicator. ---

I’m not sure something like Kerdi (a waterproof underlayment) is up to something like that. Maybe a one-piece preformed tub with tile on top? Seems like a lot of work, but it does look pretty cool. I’d want to work in some sort of floor to ceiling waterfall too. Oh, and use those temperature sensitive color-change tiles. Go all out! ---

Looks neat, but uncomfortable. I take baths to lean back, soak and relaaaaaaax… and that just wouldn’t do the trick. I also agree that into be a bitch-mother to keep clean. I’m not referring only to the ring around the tub either. Just regular house dust accumulating on the edge would look like crap. It blends in a bit on my boring beige tub. ---

It looks like an aquarium. And yea, no way could you really lay back and relax in that thing. Unless you had a life jacket on. I wouldn’t want to clean it. But it does look cool. On the H&G channel one time, I saw a bathtub that some ceramics/glass blowing nerd had made for himself. It looked like an opened lotus flower, with water cascading through a series of molded green glass leaves to reach the tub.
