One of the benefits of being gay is I’ll never need a vasectomy. 😛
My feeling exactly!
Yeah, but you will still need a condom.
Been in a monagomous relationship 7 years, so I don’t need that either.

Shhhh… Don’t tell everyone.

One of the unwritten laws of Manness is to never tell anyone who hasn’t has a vasectomy just how much it **_fucking hurt_.**

Mine went pretty well, there was the uncomfortable part where the doc taped my junk to my stomach and touched up my shave job while his cute young nurse took a couple of polaroids. Then the stick, which was quite honestly like having someone stand on my balls and twist around a few times. After that kicked in (and I’d like to reiterate the word kicked), things went well. The doc kept having to tell me to lie back because I kept trying to sit up and watch (Hey, when am I ever going to get the chance to see what’s in there again, huh?) but other than that no problems. A bag of frozen peas became my bestest friend for a few days and I took it easy so other than the original swelling (and may I say I was DAMN proud of the boys for a while, no pain but a couple of ripe pink avacados swimming around in the BVD’s) everything was cool.

The followup exam (to make sure all the swimmers were gone) 6 months later involved a quick stop in a Burger King bathroom around the corner from the clinic but that’s another story…

Jesus, I’d be afraid of catching something just being in there. 🙂

It was the only place I knew would be clean. However this was way before The King and his creepy commercials, if I had it to do over I would have opted for Wendy’s.

A friend of mine had a vasectomy after their third child was born.

A couple of years later, he and his wife decide they want to try for a fourth child. So he has the vasectomy reversed.

They have a fourth child.

Then he goes back and has a vasectomy AGAIN.

No way.

If I have another kid then I have another kid. I mean what’s 18 years of postponed retirement and four years of college tuition compared to a coupla hammer blows to the ol’ ballsac? Nuthin’!

I wonder how they do the reversibles. Do have tiny little stopcocks, er, valves that the Doc turns on and off with a jeweler’s wrench and a magnifying glass?

I guess count me in the lucky ones. The procedure went great, though I had one day of minor discomfort once the novocain wore off. After that, I was only out of commission for a day or so.

And the leftover boys still in the pipeline? Doc said give them about 20 “good ejaculations” before I considered myself safe, and then to get the sperm count done.

Best damn 4 days of my life - the wife was DYING to get off her pill. I felt so dirty. Cheap. Used. 😉

Oops. haha. You know, given how it felt at the time it wouldn’t have surprised me if I had left a bit of a waste line on the paper sheet they put me on.

So…today my boys are really tender, but it’s off and on. The cut doesn’t hurt (although there is a bit of a pinching feeling around the stitch) and it’s not red and swollen so I don’t think there’s an infection at this point. How long before I feel like normal and don’t even notice anything? Should I still be feeling a bit tender if there’s no infection? Is it because I’ve been sitting for too long (I ask this because I go back to work tomorrow and my job consists of sitting at a computer for the entire day)

_WINCE_

I’ve never been so grateful to be faithful, in my 40s, and in a marriage with a woman my own age who may be going through early menopause, in my whole damn life. Next you’ll be telling me [Stihl](http://www.stihlusa.com/chainsaws/index.html) is coming out with vasectomy equipment…
