But then I found out I was all paid out until May 11, 2010. Did I at some point pay more than I thought to SD, or is this a mistake? Can anyone clarify this for me? ---

Adding: I didn’t get an email asking that I renew, I reacted to a thread on the board. That’s when I had a surprise. ---

Possibility 1: someone gifted you. Possibility 2: at some time, you paid for three subscriptions, not one. ---

Thanks, DSYoungEsq, but I’d rather read that from someone who’s in the know. I tend to renew with a credit card, so just maybe I overpaid accidentally… but I’d like to be sure. If you are in the know at SDMB, I beg your pardon. I guess I was hoping for a mod or something. ---

Yes, MoodIndigo1, you’re paid up until 2010. I didn’t think the system would let you do that, so I’m surprised to see it. You should have received an email receipt for any subscription purchases you have made noting how your credit card or PayPal account was charged for your Straight Dope subscription. And you should also have details on these transactions from your credit card company or online from PayPal. I do not have that information available to me so there’s not a whole lot I can do for you from this end. I will refer this to Jerry; perhaps there’s some system weirdness going on here.
