I believe [mail.ru](http://mail.ru) and [web.de](http://web.de) are legitimate domains, but like hotmail accept anonymous e-mail accounts, so are commonly used by spammers. I.e., be skeptical about e-mail accounts based at them, but don’t automatically reject them.

I think you mean if they _are_ hidden, thay can’t be searched, and I’m sure you’re right - search engines aren’t going to have mod or admin access to the board, even if they did index it.
