Doubt you’ll be eligible for unemployment, but if you can find a job within a week, it’ll be a moot point. Think about what you’ll say to prospective interviewers about why you left your current firm after 10 years. You don’t want to be baited into a discussion about your personality conflicts. ---

I walked out of a job during the slowdown of 93. Great disapproval from family, but it was 100 percent the right thing to do. ---

there’s a reason for that expression, they will- give your prospective employers, a bad recommendation ---

Nah, no worries there. Their policy is never to say anything about an employee except to confirm the dates of hire and termination. Besides, I do good work, and I know that they can’t even lie about that. We all know I’m good at what I do. ---

Ha, yes, fun. I’ve mostly stopped crying, although I have taken to my bed for the most part. I have eaten a breakfast bar since yesterday. I don’t feel good about not having a job (but I do feel good about not going back to that job). I’m wallowing right now, but I think by the weekend I’ll be feeling better. I do have a feeling that the next thing will come along quickly and will be loads better than the last thing. That’s how it usually works. That was to **EJsGirl** - I shall think of you next time I dance. Fist-bump to **Nzinga.** (Or am I too old to do that?) ---
