Here’s my situation: I’m pretty good with comps, better than about 95% of the people I hang out with, anyways. I have studied Networking with the eventual goal of getting CISCO certified… I can install drivers, format HD, install & uninstall software and hardware, etc…

But since I have been studying on my own, and can’t find any classes taught in English here, I have some shocking gaps in my knowledge!

Can anyone reccomend some good books on BIOS, CMOS, and like issues?

Thanks, all!

First important rule: [O’Reilly](http://www.ora.com) books are always good, and they cover a whole lot of material.

For instance, [PC Hardware in a Nutshell](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1565925998) is an excellent hardware book.
